Don Helin is a native of Minneapolis, Minnesota where he attended the University of Minnesota. After graduation, he entered the U.S. Army and served in posts across the United States, and overseas in Vietnam and Germany.
After a career in the military, Don spent a number of years in Washington D.C. as a lobbyist for industry, giving him more material for thrillers.
Don used his experience in the Pentagon to create Colonel Sam Thorpe. In the fictionalized world of Thy Kingdom Come, Sam has served twenty-five years in the Army, the last six as a member of the Pentagon's elite anti-terrorist task force.
Don is an active member of the International Thriller Writers and Pennwriters.
